MY UNDERSTANDING OF PAINTING
When drawing, form, light-dark and color elements are taken as the main elements that make up a painting, in my paintings I mainly use drawing, form and light-dark elements and try to create an order by using color as a supporting element to support these elements.
In my understanding of form, which I create with certain contrasts, the order of focus; fullness, emptiness; diagonal contrasts, horizontals and verticals are the elements I prioritize in a composition.
The paintings I create from my testimonies and observations show my personal process, my temporal change and my developmental stages. In this journey, while creating my paintings, I determine certain series and while dealing with these series, I aim to prioritize and show "the effect of the form that emerges from the synthesis of plastic contrasts, rationality and emotion".
INSPIRATION
In 1878, Eudweard Muybridge succeeded in photographing a horse in motion using innovative scientific techniques, thus pioneering the birth of cinematic art.
Like Muybridge's effort to capture movement by dividing time into segments, in my paintings I try to depict space within time by portraying the rhythmic phases of movement of the figure, and to reflect the aesthetics and dynamics of movement in the action performed by a figure such as a "walking horse" or a "dancing woman" in a single frame on the canvas.
