Work Title: I Remember Who I Am
Conceptual Description:
I Remember Who I Am focuses on the layered, fragile, and circular remembrance of the self, rather than its construction within linear time.
The form presented to the viewer in the work represents the process of reassembling the scattered fragments of identity through an incomplete yet familiar silhouette.
The theme presents a visual that appears as if it belongs to a central figure, yet its pixel-like structure eludes fixity.
This choice reminds us that both individual identity and collective memory can never be reduced to a "complete" or "single" form.
The artist's approach here chooses to point to the subject's state of becoming rather than representing it.
In this context, the work focuses on the process of posing the question "Who am I?" rather than answering it:
Remembering, reconstructing, intuitively reuniting the lost pieces…
This work invites the viewer to pause in the space between appearance and essence.
And it implies the following assumption:
The self is not a fixed structure, but an experience of becoming, constantly recalled, reconstituted each time.
⸻
“Identity is not merely a datum belonging to the past; it is a vibration that is constantly reshaped in the present, a vibration that exists as we remember.”
