Born in Istanbul, the artist is a graduate of Yıldız Technical University's Department of Combined Arts. During his undergraduate studies, he focused on the concepts of spatial memory, the body, and the mind; during this period, he developed an interest in street art. He developed his project "Astratopia" with canvases and stickers he left on the streets of Turkey and Europe. After his art education in Spain, his productions have been shaped by identity, nature, the individual, and political issues. He produces sculpture, installation, digital print, and painting. He is also pursuing his master's degree in Art and Design at YTU.
The "Varan" series is a personal inquiry that forms the starting point of the Astratopia project.
The artist creates these works as "sticky notes" to make his own mental processes visible. The question "Where am I?" expresses an internal inquiry in which the artist searches for his place, his position, and his existential direction. What are you thinking?" is a second question he asks himself, moving away from this inquiry and asking himself from an external, broader perspective. These two works are the first steps of a journey of thought: visual traces of the transition from self-searching to self-observation. The artist transcribes these questions, transforming them into both a personal record and a mental trace left behind like a "found object."
